Lackford Lakes 16 March 2025
The AYWMC East Anglia Group met at Lackford Lakes near Bury St Edmunds on a rather chilly and grey Sunday morning to photograph the local wildlife (mainly birds). This is a venue that we have visited three times so far, and as this was the third anniversary of our very first AYWMC Photo Walk in March 2022, this felt like the right place to be. It is a very peaceful place, and sitting in a hide waiting for something to happen is remarkably enjoyable and not at all boring. The consensus is that this is a very mindful and refreshing activity in which to partake, so no doubt we'll be back again on a future date, but maybe in a different season. Anyway, the birds and one very uninhibited muntjac did not disappoint.
